Safety and Health

Modern Facility Services Ltd is an active member of site Safe and all our staff hold construction passport to a minimum. Further to that, all our Service Technicians are informed of any risks and the appropriate work practices. Situations where the safety of our staff needs to be carefully considered includes (but is not limited to) the below mentioned:

  • Working in confined spaces and at heights
  • Refrigerant handling (toxic and flammable refrigerants)
  • Lifting - manually or mechanically
  • Hot works
  • Electrical works

Prior to any work, we properly identify and manage exposure to risk and hazards, by utilizing our five step process:

  • Identify hazards
  • Assess the risk
  • Determine specific control measures for each hazard
  • Implement and monitor the control measure
  • Review the control measure.

Prior to the start of any new work contract, a 'Health and Safety plan' is produced and submitted to the client for approval. A site Health and Safety induction would be performed with all Service Technicians and Contractors prior to the start of a contract. All our staffs have attended a current site-safe course and have up-to-date first aid certificates. The Director himself is a designated Health and Safety officer.

Quality Assurance and Risk management

The Director constantly reviews the maintenance processes and helps ensure that we are delivering our services to the highest standards. As with any review process, the opportunities are identified, failures in the system are formally recorded and appropriate changes implemented.
Value Addition

Modern Facility Services Ltd has the expertise to add value to every client. We optionally provide the following additional services:

  • Undertake Condition Assessment of Air-Conditioning Plant and provide a 5-year plan to the client;
  • Ensure that every new plant that is installed meets Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS) and uses the correct refrigerant;
  • Ensure any redundant equipment is recycled wherever possible;
  • Discuss the adoption of a maintenance regime for sustainability that would include audits and surveys for safety, energy, water, maintenance, indoor air quality and occupant satisfaction.
